Privacy Policy

This policy applies to FoodiesUG Customer, part of the FoodiesUG service available through foodie.tahiiti.org and, for Kampala Kitchen, kampalakitchen.tahiiti.org. FoodiesUG is the service contact for privacy enquiries.

Information collected

Name, email address, phone number, account identifiers, delivery addresses, order history, order instructions, support messages, and payment transaction references. If you choose a location feature, we receive the location you select or share to find restaurants and arrange delivery.

We receive information you enter, information created by account and transaction activity, and information sent by permitted app features. Our servers also record technical information such as IP addresses, request times and service errors. App sessions and authentication tokens help keep you signed in. Notification tokens and device information support notifications where enabled.

How information is used

We use information to provide account access, process orders and deliveries, communicate service updates, provide support, maintain transaction records, troubleshoot errors, and protect accounts against misuse.

Location and device permissions

Location access supports the location features you select. You can enter an address manually where that option is available, or change location permissions in device settings.

Other permissions

Where available, camera and photo access let you upload profile pictures, menu images, verification documents, delivery proof or support attachments. Microphone access supports voice messages where that feature is used. Notification permission enables service alerts. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Information you upload or send is processed to provide the feature you select.

Sharing and service providers

We share the order information needed for preparation with the selected restaurant, and delivery contact and address information with the assigned driver.

Hosting, mapping, payment, communication and push-notification providers process the information needed to provide their enabled functions. For example, a map request may send location information to the map provider, and a payment request sends transaction information to the selected payment provider. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own privacy terms. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or needed to investigate fraud, resolve a dispute or protect the service.

Service information may be processed on provider infrastructure outside your country. Access should be limited to the information needed for the relevant service and protected by appropriate confidentiality and security arrangements.

Retention and account deletion

Account information is retained while the account is in use and as needed to provide the service. Order, delivery, payment and support records may be retained after account closure when needed for outstanding transactions, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and the reason it is needed; deleting an account does not necessarily erase all transaction records immediately.

To request account deletion or access, correction or deletion of your personal information, email [email protected] with the app name and the email address or phone number associated with your account. We may ask for information to verify ownership. Use the account-deletion control in the app where available. We will explain if some records need to be retained. Do not send passwords or full payment credentials.

Your choices and security

You can update available account settings, manage app permissions, disable notifications in device settings and contact us about your information. Revoking permission affects future access and does not by itself delete information already submitted. We use HTTPS and account access controls to protect service information; no storage or transmission method guarantees complete security.

Children

The service is intended for people able to use ordering, merchant or delivery services under applicable requirements. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorisation, contact us so we can investigate and address the request.
